An automatic gate changes daily life: no more stepping out in the rain to open up, and the entrance stays closed and secure at all times. Across Tunisia, where entrances and streets vary widely from one region to another, the right choice depends mostly on available space and how you use it.
Sliding or swing: it comes down to space
The sliding gate
It glides along the wall and never encroaches on the street or driveway. It is ideal on a steep slope, where space in front of the entrance is limited, or for a wide villa opening. It does, however, require run-back length along the fence.
The swing gate
Made of two leaves opening inward, it is more economical and suits classic entrances with clearance. Beware of wind and slope, though: sloping ground makes the leaves harder to open.
Motorisation and power
The motor is chosen by the gate's weight and length. Given frequent power cuts, we almost always recommend a backup battery: the gate keeps working during an outage. Solar power is an option where running an electrical line is difficult.
- Remote controls and opening from your smartphone
- Backup battery against power cuts
- Anti-crush photocells (safety)
- Flashing light and area lighting
- Optional intercom or video door phone to open remotely
Safety is not optional
A motorised gate is heavy and powerful. Photocells stop the movement the moment an obstacle — a child, a vehicle, an animal — breaks the beam. The flashing light signals the operation. These devices are not accessories: they are essential, and we fit them as standard.
Upkeep and lifespan
Dust, sand and sea air put strain on the mechanisms, especially under the Tunisian climate. Greasing the rails, checking the fixings and testing the safety features once or twice a year clearly extends the installation's life. We offer a maintenance plan to keep your gate reliable.
