Home automation in Tunisia has matured a great deal in recent years. What used to require a costly bespoke installation now comes as affordable, interoperable modules you can control from a simple smartphone. The question is no longer "is it possible?" but "where do I start?"

Start with a need, not a gadget

The most common mistake is buying connected devices at random. Instead, start from a daily annoyance: shutters you raise by hand every morning, air conditioning left on all day, or the worry of not knowing whether the gate is closed. Each irritation is a concrete starting point for your project.

The four building blocks

Connected lighting

This is the ideal entry point: controllable switches or bulbs let you turn lights on, off and schedule them from your phone or by voice. A 'leaving' scene switches everything off in one tap; an 'evening' scene dims the living room.

Shutters and air conditioning

Motorising shutters and controlling heating and cooling bring real comfort and savings: shutters close during the hottest hours to keep rooms cool, and the AC no longer runs in an empty room. In the Tunisian climate, this shutters-plus-AC pairing is often the most cost-effective.

Security and access

Automation pairs naturally with security: cameras, detectors and an automatic gate all sit in the same dashboard. You get an alert, check the camera and open the gate for a delivery, all from the app.

  • Lighting: connected switches and dimmers, scenes
  • Comfort: motorised shutters, thermostat, AC control
  • Security: integrated cameras, detectors, alarm and gate
  • Control: a single app, optional voice command

Wired or wireless?

For new builds or major renovations, a wired installation (KNX bus or equivalent) offers the best reliability. In an already-occupied home, wireless solutions avoid breaking walls and install in a day. We choose the right approach with you, to match your site and budget.

What budget should you plan for?

A first lighting-and-shutters pack for a few rooms stays very affordable; a fully controlled home is a larger investment, gladly spread across phases. The advantage of a scalable system: you start small and add modules over time, without replacing everything.
