A home alarm deters most burglaries before they even begin: an intruder wants to stay unseen, and a siren going off makes them flee. But the system has to be well designed. In Tunisia, here is how to build genuinely effective protection.
The parts of an effective alarm
The control panel and keypad
The control panel is the brain of the system: it receives information from the detectors and triggers the alert. You arm and disarm it via a keypad, a badge or the mobile app. A quality panel handles several zones (day/night, ground floor/upstairs).
The detectors
Motion detectors cover the rooms you pass through; opening detectors protect doors and windows. To avoid false alarms from pets, we choose pet-immune detectors and position them carefully.
The siren and the alert
An indoor siren drives the intruder out; an outdoor siren alerts the neighbourhood. Above all, the system sends a real-time notification to your phone wherever you are — a key point, since SMS is not used in our base offer.
- Multi-zone panel with backup battery
- Motion and opening detectors
- Indoor and outdoor siren
- Real-time smartphone alert
- Optional remote monitoring by an approved centre
Wired or wireless?
A wireless alarm installs quickly, without chasing the walls, and suits an already-occupied home perfectly. A wired alarm, fitted during construction, stays immune to jamming and has no batteries to change. We guide you according to your home.
Remote monitoring: should you subscribe?
Linked to a monitoring centre, your alarm is watched around the clock: on a trigger, an operator checks and notifies your designated contacts. It is a real plus for a second home or a shop, less essential for a home that is always occupied.
Mistakes to avoid
Under-equipping to save money, forgetting secondary exits, neglecting the backup battery, or choosing gear with no local after-sales service: all common pitfalls. An alarm is designed as a whole, with an installer you can reach near you.
